Nirvana Brewery Organic Pale Ale

The Organic twin sister of Nirvana's Traditional Pale Ale, this clean-living, eco-friendly, low-alcohol brew is a guilt-free pleasure.

On de-capping the smell is bright and fresh, and oh so clean. With a mild hoppiness and very faint citrus/mango background it beckons you in for the tasting.

Whilst there's a pleasing initial fizz to the pale gold consommé-clear liquor, there's very little head and no lacing at all.

To taste, there's a mild hoppy crispness and enough fizz left to liven the taste buds, and again it's the cleanliness that stands out. In fact this is so clean it almost tidies up after itself on the way down as there's very little body or aftertaste, which is slightly disappointing.

This is a very high quality non-alcoholic beer — fresh, drinkable and repeatable. A fridge-full of chilled bottles would not last long in summer. If you wanted something with an edge, this little eco-friendly number might just prove a little too inoffensive.
