No & low-alcohol drinks reviews

Riedenburger Ur-Dinkel Alkoholfrei

Overall

66%

Riedenburger's Ur-Dinkel Alkoholfrei is one of 6 low-alcohol beers currently in the Bavarian brewer's range. As with all Riedenburgers it's another commitment to quality — 100% organic and befitting of a brewery founded in 1756.

The liquid pours well with a thick, cloudy, pale brown body and impressive fine-pored head, leaving nice lacing on the glass. There's a strong, sweet maltiness on the nose with very little hops and this follows through to the drinking. Sweet hops dominates entirely with hops and mild lemon bitterness arriving late and in limited fashion.

Whilst it may not have mass appeal, the flavour of Riedenburger Ur-Dinkel Alkoholfrei is bold and well developed and does stand as a worthy alternative for people looking for something a bit different from their NoLo beer.
